Vulcan has recognised the importance of responsible recycling within the conveyor belting and rubber industry.

We operate a significant conveyor belt & rubber recycling facility within our Vulcan-Recycling division. We have invested in value adding manufacturing processes which divert scrap conveyor belting permanently away from landfill.

Why does Vulcan do this?

• Something must happen to a scrap belt when it is replaced.
• Historically, scrap conveyor belting could be ‘lost’ or buried on site. No longer the case.
• Scrap conveyor belting typically accumulates on user’s sites to be dealt with ‘later’.
• Scrap conveyor belting is a recognised industrial waste and should not be land-filled.

The recycling facility was commissioned in 2004 under the guidance of the Environment Agency and we are approved by them for this operation.

We have a growing reputation within the industry to assist with scrap conveyor belting disposal.
