Lifting Equipment
Vulcan operates a wide selection of approved lifting and pulling equipment.
The main applications are:
Supporting the new roll of belting prior to fitting.
Lifting and securing gravity take-up units (GTU).
Pulling and fitting new belting around the conveyor system.
Splice preparation.
Tensioning of the conveyor belt after fitting.
We work in accordance with the ‘Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998’ which require that the lifting equipment for use at work is:
Strong and stable enough for the particular use and marked to indicate safe working loads.
Positioned and installed to minimise any risks.
Used safely, i.e. the work is planned, organised and performed by competent people.
Subject to ongoing thorough examination and, where appropriate, inspected by competent people.
